History: Back in 1853 a known botanist convinced a Australia pharmacist of the benefits of Eucalyptus oils and then Bosisto built a distillation plant near Melbourne and by the 1880 the Eucalyptus industry was well established.
Cautions: The 1,8 cineole is a main staple for Koala bears as they have the enzymes to digest this constituent easily. Now it is not recommended that humans consume this oil. Although many may use a Thieves, or robbers blend that has both Eucalyptus and Rosemary in the blend it is not recommended. Our bodies can not digest the 1,8 cineole like the bears and can over a period of time has been reported to cause liver damage if take daily. It is cautioned for usage with children under 10 as the young leaves version has no 1,8 cineole in the oil.
